Intercultural communication takes place in an environment formed by two social worlds that are foreign to each other. Between these social worlds, individuals with different cultures need to engage in behaviors aimed at understanding each other. In this context, the presentation discusses the interaction between people from different cultures by considering the theoretical approaches that consider cultural differences.
Prof. Dr. Sibel Hoştut completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communication Sciences at the University of Salzburg and her PhD at Akdeniz University. In 2024 she was appointed a professor at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Communication, Antalya, Türkiye. Her research focuses on intercultural communication, corporate culture, gender studies, and social responsibility practices.
